Jr-Level Test Engineer
Custom Software Systems, Inc. (CSS) is seeking a Junior Level Test Engineer to serve as a Jr. Interface/Data Test Engineer for our client. The Junior Level Test Engineer will work under minimal supervision, perform relatively routine tasks related to our client's system. He or she will write test procedures, investigate and analyze test failures, build and maintain automated regression test suites and integrate them into build processes. This role will work with the Senior Test Lead to ensure test processes and procedures are followed.
Execute data validation process using DataStage / Ab Initio
Write detailed test plans
Develop test scenarios and test scripts
Traces requirements to test cases to ensure coverage for full system integration test
Ensure functional and technical requirements are met through system testing, regression testing, performance testing, system interface testing, and security testing activities
Design, develop and execute reusable test cases and procedures based on requirements relevant to automated test planning and creation using HP Quality Center/HP ALM
Identify, create and secure test data as necessary
Perform functional administration, configuration, and utilization of testing tools
Collect, track and report test metrics and briefs leadership on test status
Develop and maintain the Test Management Plan (TMP) that define the approach, processes, and procedures that integrates with and supports the Integrated Test and Evaluation (T&E) approach and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
Develop and maintain the Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RTVM) with imbedded Testability Matrix that maps test methods and events, test scripts, scenarios, and test results to the applicable requirement, to include test-related artifact changes
Execute data validation process using DataStage
Analyze data validation and perform root cause analysis in Oracle database
Must hold an active Secret clearance
Possess knowledge and experience with Oracle UPK and GRC Suite, and SQL
Possess knowledge of IBM InfoSphere DataStage /Abinitio
Demonstrate experience working with continuous integration environments
Possess expertise with HP Quality Center and the HP Application Life-Cycle Management Suite (Quality Center, Unified Functional Testing, Performance)
Have a Security+ certification
Have a strong understanding of the ETL process and possess knowledge of Ab Initio, OBIEE, and IBM InfoSphere DataStage
Possess knowledge of PeopleSoft versions 9.1/9.2
5 -7 years of PeopleSoft HCM experience
Ability to develop and run PeopleSoft queries
Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field with 1 to 2 years of software testing experience
